The Crown at Pantygelli

The Crown at Pantygelli is at the centre of the community and holds a serious of special events for our customers over the course of a year.

Cherrie and Carys Chadwick get ready for a busy evening

We have a variety of seasonal activities such as Harvest Suppers, Christmas Carols and a host of other local celebrations.   Last Christmas was no exception as, with appropriate season weather, we celebrated . . .

Time for the Christmas celebrations and the snow is falling steadily The celebrations are now in full swing into the evening

A celebration of another sort was also held last year when our anniversary as landlords was marked with a small presentation from the locals . . .

As part of our support for local culture, we mount small art exhibitions in the pub with the next one being held shortly to highlight the work of talented and award winning local artist and author Caroline Downey.   Click on the picture to the right to bring up more information on this event © The Crooked Village, part of a series of prints by Caroline Downey

Her husband, Peter, is a fine Blacksmith and has been responsible for most of the ironwork logos to be found in and about The Crown at Pantygelli, including the fetching wall lamps in the dining area which were made to our own design.

We are regularly visited by local dancers, including the Isca Morrismen and their other friends   In the pictures below, after a quick pause for refreshments, the dancers entertained our customers on the flower fringed patio . . .

and even pulled a willing volunteer out of the crowd . . .   before the Isca Morrismen finished with a quick pose set against our mountain background.

Please continue to watch this space for details of our forthcoming events.
